Problem Statement – To reduce the calculation timings for indirect firing of Automatic Grenade Launcher.
Background – The Automatic Grenade Launcher fires in two modes direct and indirect(when we cant see the target with naked eyes). Moreover, the amount of calculations required to be done to put the elevation and deviation on the weapon sight are quite complex and time consuming. To reduce this calculation time, we decided to build a AGL Calculator, a microcontroller-based device to reshape how soldiers operate on the battlefield, by automating complex calculations and factoring in real-time environmental data(Temperature,Pressure, Wind Conditions ), this device is set to enhance ground forces’ capabilities, saving invaluable time and significantly boosting accuracy.






The Automatic Grenade Launcher Calculator eliminates the uncertainty associated with crucial variables like temperature, pressure, and wind effects, which play a pivotal role in determining the trajectory of grenades. Traditionally, soldiers were tasked with manually adjusting for these factors, a process that was not only time-consuming but also prone to errors.

The device ensures that grenade trajectories are precisely adjusted, achieving unparalleled accuracy. This automation not only saves precious time but also minimizes errors, enabling soldiers to concentrate on critical tactical decisions and situational awareness.
This real-time information exchange empowers soldiers to instantly adapt to changing conditions, whether they are facing extreme temperatures, shifting altitudes, or turbulent winds.
By entering their own and the target’s grid references, soldiers can swiftly calculate the exact distance to the target.It incorporates a range table and correction data, stored as a lookup file in the firmware. This incorporation has been fine-tuned based on feedback from rigorous weapons testing in real-world conditions.
