Runners up – Techkriti 2010(IIT -K) TIC TAC TOE | Game Design

Problem Statement: A wireless game is to be designed to implement TIC TAC TOE as popular during school just by using basic digital circuits implementing use of GATES as AND,OR,NAND and NOR logic by total use of ANALOG CIRCUITRY.

Team : Anupam, Sulabh Sethi, Rahul Sharma

Design: The various parts of the game can be broken down into following parts

a. Display Panel : We chose 3mm LEDS for the same, Red ones for Cross and Green for Dots.

b. Brain: Digital Counter IC 74HC30 , 8-input NAND Gate as the basic logic circuit.

c. Remote : We used HC12E and HC12D for encoding decoding our signals and modulated the same on IR LED and demodulated the same on reciever end with a TSOP 1738.

Construction: The PCB was designed on Diptrace and etched with ferric chloride solution. The components were soldered and tested.

This design made it to the second position at Techkriti-IIT Kanpur 2009.
